Hello Cafe patrons!

The initial 5% of surveys are going out soon! This is called a Smoke Test, and it will be sent to a random 5% of all backers. This is a way to test that the surveys are correctly set up before sending out en masse. Don't worry if you aren't part of the test! All surveys, should things go correctly, will be sent out Thursday, September 14.

We have a poll up for which character you get from the Collectors Guild Cafe personality quiz! Be sure to try out the quiz (it's only 6 questions) and let us know which Collector you are most likely to hang out with!

Finally, there are few more add-ons everybody will have access to: the sticker pack (which is free to all physical pledges, so this is an additional set), the Cafe logo ornament (which was a free reward to previous backers), and the Cafe magnet (a free reward to early bird pledges). Aren't these biome stickers so cute?! Abi did wonderfully capturing these characters in chibi form surrounded by their collections.

Hello there, Collectors of the Cafe!

Just wanted to send a quick reminder to those final 20-ish people to check your payment settings to make sure your pledge goes through before surveys start! This will help ensure you get your surveys on time. I've almost finished setting them up, just waiting on a couple more art pieces from Abi for the notebook covers and Collector stickers. They are SO CUTE and I know you're going to love them.

Speaking of art, here's the first look at the Holiday Goblins art! This is included at the end of each calendar (plus the first four months of 2025) and the line art is in the coloring book. Plus, all backers with physical pledges are receiving a free print of this! Let us know what you think of it, and tell us what easter eggs you can spot.

It is hard to believe that after 6+ months of prep and 1 month of the campaign that this stage of the journey is over. Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who pledged! Together we achieved so much at this grand opening of the Collectors Guild Cafe!

What's next?
Over the next couple weeks you'll be charged for your initial pledge. If your card fails for whatever reason, you'll have the opportunity to update your payment method. Please do this as soon as possible! Please refer to the Project FAQ section of you have a question, then reach out to us in the Discussion board if you need any further help.

And then?
Surveys via BackerKit will go out by September 14, sooner if we can manage it. If you pledged for a notebook, you'll select the character you want on the cover or the CGC logo. Nothing else is customizable. You'll also be able to add on anything else you want from the add-ons list! You MAY need to reselect any add-ons you chose during the campaign, but you won't have to pay more unless you select more. You will be charged for add-ons at the end of the survey, but your shipping won't be charged yet.

Then you'll provide your mailing address. Sometimes BackerKit surveys have an issue where you get a really high shipping estimate until the very last page. Please be sure to get to the final page just before confirming your order to get the best shipping quote. Shipping is not charged yet.

Backers will have until September 30th to finish their surveys. This is when we lock all completed surveys so that item quantities cannot be changed. You'll still be able to fill out your survey after this point, but that could delay fulfillment of your pledge because your items may not be part of the initial orders we place with our fulfillment partners.

We are hoping to receive all items by the end of November. Shipping charges will be placed toward the end of November. We plan to begin shipping at the beginning of December.

What else?
If you have not filled your survey and paid by January 31, 2024, your pledge will be forfeit and considered a kind donation.

Hello again, Collectors of the Cafe!

A couple days ago we introduced you to the main six characters of next year's CGC comic. Please go meet them in the Day 25 Update!

Thanks to all your support, we've also unlocked the free 8x10 Holiday Goblins print! I think you guys are going to enjoy the whimsy of this illustration a lot. Not all creatures collect in... honest... ways. Our goblins are pilferers as is true to the goblin spirit. However, they aren't doing it for selfish reasons, but from a place of love, which you will learn more about once the illustration is done. They always make sure to "borrow" items that are (from their investigations) of least value to the collectors they borrow from. They also give a small something back to the collectors they took an item from. This trinket is often left in the most random of places.

We're also excited to announce the winners of the art contest! We have two winners, SkittlePup1 for digital and mkhutchinsauthor for traditional (their kids also joined in the fun). You'll receive a CGC themed reward with your pledge. Please check your accounts for information on how we can match your prize with your pledge!

The second process video is up as well on the Collectors Guild Cafe YouTube channel! You can watch it here or on our channel (don't forget to subscribe). Patrons of our Patreon get early access to these videos, as well as other perks.




The campaign ends tonight! I can't believe it has come so far for our grand opening, you are such awesome people (of which there are over 300 of you)! We still have 16 hours to go, so please share with your friends and family who still need to pledge.
